“It’s the Pantomime’s opening night!
The stage is set, the crew are ready, the audience is lining up, but disaster! The Dame’s wig has gone missing, and they refuse to start the show without it. You will have to head backstage and find it before curtains up!
The show must go on!”
As we’d come to expect from Escapism, the theming was excellent, clean and fun! They had cleverly used the back of one of their rooms to make this a single room game, and even though “single rooms” get a bad rap on occasion, this room is not deserving of it! The theming was immersive, and whilst not in-your-face Christmas (thank god) it really captured the spirit and humour of the great British panto!
Game Play:
A multi-linear game that had a plethora of puzzles! So much to do and so little time, from word to observation, logic to searching there was something for everyone in this room and there were some lovely “easy wins” that would be perfect for families and kids.
The puzzles were beautifully on theme and had wonderous Ah-ha moments, each solve was achievable and most of all, fun!
The flow was excellent, with us never stopping for the whole time we were in the game, and it was a busy, yet slick game.
A real creative take on the “Christmas room” – very refreshing to see, this room is only open until mid-January so get in there quick!
