Game Date: 12/01/2025
Team: Amy & Ian
Duration: 60 Minutes

Theme:
As brave adventurers, your mission is to perform a ritual and banish an evil spirit that has long haunted these sacred grounds.  How far will your intrepid explorers make it? Your progression will determine just how successful the final ritual will be.

The Temple of Shadows awaits – are you ready? It’s up to you and your team to try and banish the ancient spirit forever.”

A beautifully decorated game that really captured the essence of being deep in a temple, with wonderful sets and a great soundtrack! The space was large and there were really lovely hidden aspects that made the game feel a lot larger than its already large space!

Game Play:
A very open game, where the premise is not just escaping, but capturing 8 symbols to banish the evil deity, this is a very clever game mechanic as only 4 symbols are needed to “win” the game and banish the deity, but there are 8 up for grabs and the full hour to get them! Fantastic for a less experienced team but still giving the enthusiasts a challenge!
The puzzles in this game were excellent, from the moment we started solving every single puzzle was intrinsic to the theme, with wonderful, magical ah-ha moments that delighted us at every solution. Most of the puzzles had many components that came together seamlessly and gave those magical ah-ha moments. The variety of puzzles was extensive, word, logic, observation, physical… something for every brain type in this game!
The clear and concise logic in the puzzles was excellent, with sublime signposting that gave us just enough direction but never felt forced or hand-holding at any point.
The flow was wonderful and smooth, at any point we met a small wall we could move on to something else, this left us feeling like we didn’t stop solving puzzles for the entire hour.
Overall this game was a true delight to play, a refreshing room that at its core had brilliant puzzles, logical solving, and was topped off with great decoration… a true gem.

Clue System:
Clues were delivered via a screen, but sometimes the deity would confirm our answers, which was FANTASTIC.

Game Host:
I didn’t catch our host’s name but he was excellent, we only took one clue during the game but it was clear he was watching us intently at every moment of the game.

Did we escape? We got all 8 symbols!
