Cryptology – Cypherdyne.
Location: Nottingham
Game Date 25/10/2016.
Team: Amy & Ian

“You and your team are completing your first day at your new job at Cypherdyne. What seems like a normal induction takes an unexpected turn… can you and your team pass the test to become an honoury employee?”

A fully realised and detailed room, the attention to detail in the room is fantastic, including a working printer, motivational posters the works, it even goes as far as company coffee mugs!! The theme carries on through the entire game, immersing you in the office environment. You can even see the street outside, which normally would be a no-no, but it works, as if you were in a company office, chances are you’d see outside!

Game Play:
The game play saw a lot of very clever puzzles, a little bit of searching. Puzzles were logical, and all made sense within the immersion of the game. A lovely, linear game which will appeal to first timers, and enthusiasts (the latter will have a fantastic time in this room, really enjoying the journey through the room) Padlocks were only used where absolutely necessary. A very, very well designed game!

Clue System:
Clues were delivered via a screen in the room, with an appropriate sound!

Game Host:
Mark (the owner of Cryptology) was our Game Host, he welcomed us like old friends, and we could have chatted for EVER about Escape Rooms! His briefing was thorough and left us fully prepared for the room. His clue delivery was impeccable, with the perfect amount of humour too! Clues came perfectly on time, we were neither stalled nor rushed!

Did we escape?
Yes, in about 49 minutes! A great escape!
