HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Brit of an Escape Habit is 1 year old today!

happy birthday
I just want to take time to reflect of my 1st year of blogging, it’s been an absolute whirlwind, playing well over 100 games in that year and meeting some amazing people to boot! Friendships have been forged, fun has been had and lots of cake has been eaten!

I suppose I should talk about some of the highlights in games I’ve played in the last year…

Lets talk about my top 3 games….

1. The 13th Element – Escape Quest.
This room is just sheer JOY, the first time I truly enjoyed a non-linear room, so much fun and humour in this room. I will remember this one for a long time (I actually would play it again in a heartbeat!)

2. 13utcher – Escapologic
Even now, 8 months later I still recall the abstract fear I felt in 13utcher, unbridled primal fear coursing through my veins. It was exhilarating and for someone who doesn’t scare easily…. I was a mess.

3. Curio – Escapologic
If you have been to play Curio, you will know… If you haven’t… WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR. It contains the single most amazing surprise in any room I’ve ever played. Even when we played and KNEW about it we were still in awe of the perfection in this room. Another game I would LOVE to play again!

Even though we have played over 100 rooms, I feel we have only just scratched the surface of what the Escape Room industry has to offer, with new venues opening all the time there will be a plethora of games to play soon, We are hoping to hit Leeds, York, Cardiff and Kent in the next year so we will always find games to play!

Finally, thank YOU for reading this blog, I started to keep a record of which games I played and what I enjoyed and now, hopefully I’m helping people make informed choices about which games to play, that gives me so much joy!
