Robin-Hoods-Breakout-Friar-Tuck-sect-150x150

Theme:
“Your band of merry man have been captured by the Sheriff of Nottingham and banged up in the castle dungeon. Every day the sheriff leaves his office in the castle dungeon to collect taxes around the town. Robin Hood has managed to sneak in and leave you clues to breakout. You have 60 mins before the Sheriff returns”

Theming was again very good, with a lot of detail to attention and good immersion! The room kept going and going and gave so much to discover. There was so so much detail in this room, but not too much to create any red herrings!
The decoration was lovely, and had an ever so slight cartoon edge with fits fine with the theme if you take into consideration that it could have been inspired by a certain vulpine film. (This also sits with the choice of music… everyone one remember the hampster dance.. good. There’s an hour of that, only the film version) It was really charming, chunky and quaint. I enjoyed it a lot.
Space was tight again, and I wouldn’t have liked to have been in the room with any more than 4 people!

Game Play:
A mixed game with a lot of puzzles, ranging from observation, physical, logic, searching, maths… but leaning towards the physical again, Not in a “work up a sweat” sense, but that of interacting with the room and using things together to create a puzzle.
There is a lovely feeling of truly engaging with the room in a big “handmade” sense at UK Escape Games, more so in Robin Hood than Molly O’Grady.
The room and puzzles have so much character and are on theme!
This room was so much fun! Perfectly logical with plenty of excellent ah-ha moments. A strictly linear room, yet again there were moments where a few player could certainly get involved.
The opening to this room is incredibly fun, and encourages brilliant team work! I can imagine it being a lot of fun in a bigger group (as it was fun in a 2 and we didn’t even use the in game hint to correctly deduce the answer!)
Enthusiasts, play as a 2, you won’t regret it! Newbs, take 4, a nice number for enough brains and not too crowded.
This game is a lot of FUN, hands on, puzzle solving fun!

Clue System:
Clues were delivered via a screen

Game Host:
Bailey was our Game Host and was good, friendly and read our game very well, giving us hints and also reaffirming that we were going in the right direction with our game.

Did we escape?
