The Panic Room – Secret Of Pocahontas: The Lost Pages.
Location: Gravesend
Game Date 21/08/2018.
Team – Amy & Ian.

“During the recent renovations at the Gravesham Borough Market they stumbled across an old library! It is rumoured that this belonged to a very old records keeper and that he held a long lost secret about Pocahontas that he took to his grave.

The information lies within the lost pages, with only 60 minutes to find them can you set the truth free?”

Pocahontas is a 2-3 player game, and once in the room it’s easy to see why, it’s a small space and The Panic Room made the right decision to limit player numbers.
It is beautifully decorated and very immersive, it was easy to completly forget we were in a market stall, once we were through the door!
High quality set decoration, with beautiful period furniture serve to give a true library atmosphere. There is nothing set to distract you and the set is fully utilised within the game play.
The lighting is just right, not too dim to impact game play, but enough to create a great ambiance.

Game Play:
A linear game that weaves its way through the narrative with elegence. Puzzles were a varity of word, logic, code-breaking & observation.
All the puzzles were elegant and logical in their execution, giving lovely ah-ha moments that were just so pleasing and satisfying.
The flow was wonderful, with each puzzle cleanly getting us to the next and closer to the end goal (which is very clear when you get to it!)
The signposting was excellent, yet still delivered in theme to the game and never overbearing.
All in all a very sweet little game that is absoloutely perfect for beginners, even as a first game! The logic & charm will certainly please enthusiasts.

Clue System:
Clues were delivered via a screen

Game Host:
Cameron was our game host, and he was friendly and welcoming, delivering clues with excellent timing!

Did we escape?
Yes, in 38 minutes!
