EO Escape Rooms – Scarlet

Theme:
“Scarlet, the sacred red parrot of the EOnian Tribe has been stolen by poachers. The EOnian Tribe believe that without Scarlet their settlement will be cursed.
A search for Scarlet is about to commence and the Village Elder has asked for your help.
Time is running out and you have a job to do. Can you help bring Scarlet home before she is gone forever?”

As you can see from the picture, Scarlet is a really pretty room which gives definite tropical vibes from the moment you set foot in the game! The game soon expands to a lovely jungle space with a very impressive water feature and a few secrets! The use of the space was excellent and very creative.
You can feel the passion in the build of Scarlet, everything is just right and it’s clear the team at EO care very, very much about the room (and should be proud, it really is gorgeous and a lovely space to play in!)
The lighting was excellent and used well, never hampering our gameplay.
The room was more than bid enough for 6 players.
Just a pretty, charming and beautiful indie room!

Game Play:
A game that flowed seamlessly through linear and open moments with a wonderful mix of puzzles. Word, logic, searching, observation, tactile, skill… so much variety!
The puzzles were all well on theme and most importantly, FUN! The logic through the puzzles was excellent, clear to understand and with some little twists that made perfect sense, the puzzles were always full of incredible AH-HA moments that surprised and delighted us through the 60 minutes.
The signposting was just right, with enough to guide us and make us feel secure in the game design (what a really well-designed game it was!) letting us get on and solve all the puzzles seamlessly.
The flow was wonderful, the links between the puzzles just sailed along, with not a sticky moment in sight.
A truly well-designed game in which you can feel the passion in the puzzles and the experience the team at EO has playing in the signposting and flow of the game.
The game also contains a bonus puzzle which is a fantastically unique idea which makes a small challenge for enthusiasts to see if they can solve it, and also gives less experienced players a chance to get through the room as it gives you 10 minutes extra time! Such a great idea!

Kelly and Kodi were our hosts, and quite honestly, they were perfection in host form. Welcoming, attentive, passionate, kind and funny. Delivering us perfectly timed clues and a fantastic fun brief!
