Trapped In Bury – Crazy Clown’s Carnival.
Location: Bury
Game Date 03/05/2016.
Team: Amy & Ian
Theme:
“The clown has gone mad and won’t let you leave his carnival tent until you’ve completed all his challenges. If you’ve played other escape games you can expect something completely different with this one. You’ll need to use all your skill and teamwork to complete the clown’s challenges, and if you enjoy playing games at the carnival fairground you’ll love this! Scared of clowns? Don’t let that worry you, our clown isn’t scary, he’s just a little mad! This game is particularly suitable for family groups as well as groups of friends or colleagues.”
Trapped in promised a Crazy Carnival, and boy did they serve it up! The theming here was PERFECT, with game stands, perfect soundtrack and fog. FOG! (Anything that uses a fog machine is brilliant)
Game Play:
I’m going to try my best to tell you all about the game play without ruining it… THIS ROOM WAS AMAZING. Everything you can think of at a carnival was in this room, so the room was mainly physical, with only on real “mental” puzzle. The final puzzle was a true test of dexterity and skill! Wow… this room is the most unique (and fun) room I’ve ever played!
Clue System:
Clues were delivered through a screen, with a limit of 3 hint requests, but you may be delivered more at the Game Host’s discretion! The briefing & backstory were also through the screen which was very neat!
Game Host:
Our Game Host was also the owner of Trapped In, he was very thorough, friendly and INCREDIBLY passionate about what he’s created and the industry he’s in, it was lovely to chat to someone who was as obsessed with Escape Rooms as I am! Such a nice guy!
Did we escape?
Yes, with 23 seconds to spare. OH MY GOD, I screamed with joy so loud I think they heard me actually in manchester! (this was more to do with the fact I had to watch my other half do the last puzzle, as I couldn’t reach half of it!)
I LOVED this room, and I can’t wait to do the next 2!!
