Escape Hunt – Our Finest Hour

Escape Hunt – Our Finest Hour.
Location: Leeds
Game Date 13/04/2018.
Team: Amy & Ian

“WWII. As a team of British secret agents, you know only one thing can save your country from Nazi invasion: cooperation.”

A quite simple, classic story but one that was executed with finesse and style. A wonderfully decorated and fully immersive, every detail was “just so” and fitting to the theme.
The room was well lit, and spacious, with a good soundtrack that ramped up and put the pressure on certainly within the last moments of the game.
A slick, well designed set with character, immersion and detail that is just lovely.

Game Play:
A liner game that focused on code-breaking, logic, observation, and a small amount of searching. Each and every puzzle was beautifully on theme and integrated into the room perfectly. The tasks were very “real world” with the game having a singular padlock.
An excellently designed room, with good solid puzzles that were excellent in their logic, clear and with lovely engaging Ah-ha moments!
The flow was excellent, with clear signposting and conclusions leading you seamlessly from puzzle to puzzle.
On a personal level, I enjoyed the challenge of this room, it was different and there were moments where I said “I have no idea what were doing, but I love it”
I would recommend this to a small group of enthusiasts, a 2 or 3 and a bigger group if you’re inexperienced. The room is a wonderful, immersive journey.

Clue System:
Clues were delivered, in character by means of a telephone!

Game Host:
Olivia was our game host and she was amazing, so friendly, so passionate and she delivered clues and hints with perfection. She is everything a game host should be!

Did we escape?
Yes, in 56 minutes!
