Pressure Point – Moonlit Wild
Location: Ashford
Game Date: 19/07/2019
Team: Amy & Ian
Theme:
“An ancient story is known that the god of wealth, Eltari, once hid a valuable treasure deep in the jungle. Eltari hid the treasure to protect human kind from the greed, hatred and self indulgence that will be consumed upon possession of this magical artefact. The story goes that those who possess this treasure will be given limitless wealth for eternity. Many explorers have attempted to seize this treasure but no-one has ever been able to solve Eltari’s mythological puzzles that pave the way to the infinite magic that he created.
Do you and your team believe you have what is necessary to take on a god?”
Moonlit wild was beautiful. A thoroughly immersive and gorgeous jungle, which felt like we delved deeper into the jungle throughout each part of the game, couple this with realistic trees, alcoves and caves this set was impressive, lush and tropical.
The finish was impeccable and with an excellent soundtrack, the immersion was top notch.
The space in the room was good and lighting was perfect, atmospheric and only added to the immersion of the room.
There was a sense of discovery in the room which was wonderful, with so many nooks and crannies to explore it’s hard to not feel like you’re lost deep in the jungle within Moonlit Wild.
Game Play:
An open game with plenty to do, puzzles consisted of Logic, Word, Observation, Searching, Physical, and Teamwork.
Each and every puzzle was well on theme, and enjoyable. Moonlit wild didn’t follow as heavy a story as Murder on the Dance Floor, but the overarching theme of the room was fun & exploration. From the simple tasks one would have to do in the jungle, to tasks meant to please the gods, this room was a hands-on journey that was perfectly pitched to be a wonderfully family-friendly room.
All the puzzles have wonderful ah-ha moments, with clear logic and smart, cohesive answers (in line with Pressure Points other 2 rooms) Logically every puzzle was sound and solvable with no clues. There was no ambiguity in any of the puzzles.
The puzzles were certainly unique and a couple of them fitted so very well with the theme that I found myself totally lost in the lush jungle setting.
The flow was excellent, with puzzles transitioning with ease, Moonlit Wild is clearly a well-honed game.
Signposting was near perfection, with just enough to help but never too much to hand-hold.
Moonlit Wild has and fantastic mechanic that can be completed as you go, making it perfect for bigger teams, but will also keep you in the room for nearly the full hour if you wish to go for the 100% completion rate in the room!
Perfect for families, but enthusiasts will enjoy it just as much.

Yes, in 55 minutes although we got to the final lock in less time, the extra search element kept us in the room for much longer!
