A computer interface is your “set” for this game, and it works incredibly well, fully interative with lots of interesting tabs and windows to open and explore. Part of the fun of this game is working out how to use this interface!
High production standards again give a sense of realism to this game that creates a feeling of being on a true covert mission from the comfort of your sofa. It works really well and looks great!
Game Play:
A linear game that has a good variety of puzzles, word, logic, observation, searching, codebreaking, detective work and team work.
The puzzles were all delightful and logical, with wonderful ah-ha moments and absoloutley no ambiguity (I love it when you get to a puzzle and have an idea, but you can instantly discredit it because you feel so secure in the game that you know the design of it won’t allow your own over complicated answers)
One of the only stumbling blocks we found was actually in how the interface and game worked. This took us a little while, but once we found our rhythm in how it worked we were off!
The puzzles were all perfectly intrisic to the theme (and I loved the Futurama nod!) and were most of all enjoyable to solve.
Signposting was subtle, and this gave the game a slight edge in difficulty but also ramped up the ah-ha moments, for when they were found it was exciting!
Flow, once we had worked out the mechanics of the game, was excellent, smooth and fuss-free.
An all round great game that really embraces teamwork and good puzzle solving fun.
