Theme:
“James Moriarty: stylish arch-fiend, criminal mastermind, and the only person Sherlock Holmes can call an equal.
In a test of your mental prowess, Moriarty has sealed you in your Baker Street flat, with nothing but a ticking time bomb for company. It’s the ultimate battle of your intellect against his.
If you don’t solve his Machiavellian clues, you and the charming café next door will be saying your final goodbyes…
You have an hour to find the bomb before it’s too late!”

Theming was nice, a typical study/office type theming so nothing mind blowing. With plenty to look at but not overly cluttered, and decorated to a good standard, along with all the tropes you’d expect from a “Sherlock” room. (violin, lots of books etc etc)
The room was well lit, and spacious, with plenty of room for any size team. There was also a large chalkboard on the wall for writing down clues, which was a nice touch!
A lovely room which made the most of a fairly standard theme of room.

Game Play:
A linear room, which unfolded nicely within the game space. The puzzles were fairly standard escape room type puzzles with a focus on observation and code-breaking. Lots of small, self contained puzzles with good logic and lovely ah-ha moments, that saw us continually working together to achieve the goal.
The puzzles were mainly logical, we found we stumbled on 2 puzzles, one which was a slight logic leap, and due to the sound logic in all the other puzzles it seemed to stick out like a sore thumb and the other was down to us missing something fairly obvious (that happens more than we like!!)
The room had a good flow, the only sticking point being the logic leap, I think this would trip a fair few groups up, but other than that the room flowed well.
A good introductory room for beginner groups it ticks all the boxes of a good, solid game. Enthusiasts will find it enjoyable, if not a little bit “cliche”

Clue System:
Clues were delivered via a screen in the room

Game Host:
Amir was our game host, and delivered a comprehensive and friendly brief. His clue delivery was good, only helping us out when we truly needed it! He read our game well, was friendly and enthusiastic!

Did we escape?
Yes, in 54 minutes!
