Theme:
“Goldilocks was left traumatized by her encounter with the three bears and turned to the dark arts for protection. Now she is the terror and must be stopped!”

Such a unique theme and a great twist on the “fairytale” – The setting was Goldilocks’ cottage and it was decorated admirably with a quaint cosyness and a creepy, sinister air about it. The decor was finished to a high standard, and as the game progressed it takes a slightly darker feel (I can imagine after dark this room gets super creepy!) Immersion is good, with some nice effects, theatrical effect and a good soundscape, yet there is nothing in the room that is there to deliberatly confuse or misguide, this room does well to blend decor and immersion without impacting gameplay.

Game Play:
A fairly non linear game that had an excellent variety of puzzles, logic, codebreaking, sensory, teamwork, physical, word, many aspects were covered in the design of Ghouldilocks. Puzzles were all intrisic to the room, and very well intergrated into the set design and fit perfectly into the story and world that ghouldilocks inhabited.
The Puzzles in the room were incredibly unique, with there being a few moments of “ohh haven’t seen that before” in this room (and after 460 room, that is a feat!) and all were exemplary in their logic, pretty flawless in their excecution and with wonderful Ah-ha moments. Most of all the puzzles were FUN! Ghouldilocks is a a terrifically fun room, which is sure to please every player at some point!
Signposting is abundent and serves to guide the player deeper into Goldilocks pursuit of dark magic and is very welcomed.
Whilst being abundent it isn’t overly directional or game spoiling.
Flow is excellent, we had a few sticky moments but this was entirely our own fault, and had we been on form the game would have ran as smooth as silk. This is one game where we can entirely say any slowdowns or mis-steps were entierly our fault ( I love games where you can clearly see the clever design even through your own playing flaws)
Overall Ghouldilocks is a solid, well designed game that is going to appeal to both enthuisasts and newbies alike! Super fun.

Clue System:
Clues were delivered via a talking doll, which was beautifully in theme (even if we did have a little trouble hearing her at some points) and also on paper, delivered via the fire!

Game Host:
Chris was our game host and he was excellent, it’s clear he is very passionate about his rooms. He was friendly, and ran out game with precision, helping us out at appropriate times, yet never rushing us

Covid19 Safety:
Puzzology was clean, masks wear worn throughout the whole time we were indoors and there was ample hand sanitizer avaiable.

Did we escape?
Yes, in 51 minutes
